Transit Visa

Information:

  1. This visa shall be issued to the applicant who is:

  1. in transit in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia intending to continue his/ her journey to another country;

  2. a captain and crewmembers intending to sign on a sea vessel/ aircraft, which is operating in Indonesia.

  1. It entitles for single journey within the maximum stay indicated in a visa and non-extendable;

  2. The journey to Indonesia must be executed within 90 (ninety) days after the date of issue.

  3. In some cases, the issuance of this visa may be subject for the approval from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, in which the sponsor in Indonesia is the one applying for such approval. Thus, the purpose of ticket is not required. It is therefore, we encourage you to enquire from us prior submission of visa application.

For in-transit applicant:

Required documents should be submitted to the Embassy, as follows:

  1. Two pieces of completely filled out visa application form for transit;

  2. Two pieces recent, colored photograph with size of 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, taken not more than six months, to be attached on the space provided for;

  3. Original and photocopy of the onward ticket to another country after Indonesia;

  4. Valid, perfectly conditioned passport at least 6 (six) months valid upon arrival in Indonesia;

  5. The applicant’s formal letter of request for visa, indicating as follows: (should be addressed to the Consular Affairs Section of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila)

  1. Purpose of transit;

  2. Name and complete detail of the applicant;

  3. Length of intended stay in Indonesia;

  4. Place to stay in Indonesia;

  5. Date, time, and airline/ship number of arrival in Indonesia;

  6. Date, time, and airline/ship number of departure from Indonesia;

  7. Next country of destination after Indonesia

  1. The approval copy from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, stating the specific purpose, the name of sponsor, and period of the stay in Indonesia (if any)

For captain/ crew member intending to sign on/ join on a vessel, which is operating in Indonesia

Required documents should be submitted to the Embassy, as follows:

  1. Two pieces of completely filled out visa application form for transit;

  2. Two pieces recent, colored photograph with size of 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, taken not more than six months, to be attached on the space provided for;

  3. Original and photocopy of the airline/ boat ticket to Indonesia;

  4. Valid, perfectly conditioned passport at least 6 (six) months valid upon arrival in Indonesia;

  5. Valid, perfectly-conditioned Seaman’s Book at least 6 (six) months valid upon arrival in Indonesia;

  6. Formal letter of request for visa from the local agent/ shipping agency, indicating as follows: (should be addressed to the Consular Affairs Section of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila)

  1. Purpose of transit;

  2. Name and complete detail of applicant;

  3. Length of stay in Indonesia;

  4. Place to stay in Indonesia;

  5. Date, time, and airline/ship number of arrival in Indonesia;

  6. Name of vessel to be joined in Indonesia;

  7. Date and time of departure from Indonesia;

  8. Country to be visited after Indonesia;

  9. Complete name, address and tel/fax numbers of the agent in Indonesia.

  1. Formal letter of guarantee from the shipping agency in Indonesia, indicating as follows: (should be addressed to the Consular Affairs Section of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila)

    1. Purpose of transit;

    2. Name and complete detail of applicant;

    3. Length of stay in Indonesia;

    4. Place to stay in Indonesia;

    5. Date, time, and airline/ship number of arrival in Indonesia;

    6. Name of vessel to be joined in Indonesia;

    7. Date and time of departure from Indonesia;

    8. Country to be visited after Indonesia;

    9. Complete name, address and tel/fax numbers of the agent in Indonesia.

  2. Photocopy of POEA/ OEC Contract;

  3. The approval copy from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, stating the specific purpose, the name of sponsor, and period of the stay in Indonesia (if any).
