TRANSIT VISA

 

  1. Transit Visa is issued to:

           a) The applicant who is in transit in the territory of the Republic of

                Indonesia intending to continue the  trip to another country;

           b) Captain and crew members intending to sign on a 

                vessel/aircraft, which is operating in Indonesia.

  1. Transit visa entitles for a single journey within the maximum stay of 14 days from the date of admission to Indonesia.

  2. The trip to Indonesia must be executed within 90 (ninety) days after  the date of issuance of the visa.

  3. In some cases the issuance of a transit visa may be subject for approval from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, wherein the sponsor in Indonesia applies for the Immigration approval.  Ticket is not required just yet. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

    For In-Transit Applicant

 

  1. Completely filled out visa application form

  2. 2 (two)  recent, colored pictures  (red background) size 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches, taken not more than 6 (six) months;

  3. Original and photocopy of the  onward ticket to another country;

  4. Passport of at least 6 (six) months valid upon arrival in Indonesia;

  5. The applicant’s formal letter of Request addressed to: Consular Affairs, Indonesian Embassy, stating the purpose of the visit.

  6. The approval copy from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta stating the specific purpose, name of sponsor, and period of stay in Indonesia.

  7. Visa Fee of P1,000.00 in Manager’s check  which can be procured  from Banco de Oro, Union Bank and Bank of the Philippines Islands and pay to the order of: Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.

 

    For Captain/Crew Member /Crew Member Intending to Sign  

    on/Join A Vessel Operating in Indonesia:

 

  1. 2 (two) copies of completely filled out  application form.

  2. 2 (two) recent colored pictures (white background), size 11/2 X 11/2  inches taken not more than 6 (six) months;

  3. Original & photocopy of the airline/boat ticket;

  4. Passport of at least 6 (six) months valid upon arrival in Indonesia.

  5. Seaman’s Book of at least 6 (six) months valid

  6. Request Letter addressed to: Consular Affairs, Indonesian Embassy  which states  the purpose of the  visit and a Letter of Guarantee from the  shipping agency in Indonesia;

  7. Photocopy of POEA/OEC Contract;

  8. Visa Fee of P1,000.00 in Manager’s Check which   can be procured from Banco de Oro, Union Bank and Bank of the Philippine Islands and payable to the order of:  Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia;
