NEW REGULATION FOR FREE SHORT VISIT AND VISA ON ARRIVAL

TO ALL TRAVELLERS TO INDONESIA:

Effective 1st August 2005, the Indonesian new regulation will be as follows:

  1. Nationals of the PHILIPPINES, MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE, THAILAND, BRUNEI DARRUSALAM, HONG KONG SAR, MACAO SAR, CHILE, MORROCO, PERU, and VIETNAM shall be granted a free short visit visa for a maximum of 30 (thirty) days.

    - Travel valid for purposes of tourism, socio-cultural visit, governmental visit and attendingconvention/seminar/conference.
    -
    The Extension of maximum may be permitted subject to the approval for the Minister of Justice for the cases of Force Majeure" to wit: extremely bad weather conditions, serious illness, or serious accident.
  2. A visit Visa on Arrival is granted to the citizens from the countries of ARGENTINA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, BRAZIL, CANADA, DENMARK, EGYPT, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMAN, HUNGARY, INDIA, IRELAND, ITALY,JAPAN, KUWAIT, LUXEMBURG, MALDIVES,NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY,OMAN, PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, POLAND, PORTUGAL, QATAR, RUSSIA, SAUDI ARABIA, SOUTH AFRICA, SOUTH KOREA, SPANISH, SWISS, TAIWAN, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, UNITED KINGDOM (BRITISH), UNITED STATES OF AMERICA upon arrival at the Immigration check-point at designated airports/seaports in Indonesia for a maximum of 30 (thirty) days.

    - Travel valid for purposes of tourism, socio-cultural visit, governmental visit and attending convention/seminar/conference.
    - The extension of maximum stay may be permitted subject to the approval from the Director General of Immigration in Jakarta for the case of Force Majeure, to wit: extremely weather conditions, serious illness, or serious accident.
    - The passport should be valid for at least 6 (six) months and have enough pages for the immigration officers to put the stamp or visa sticker.
    - Charge/Fee for Visa on Arrival will be collected at Immigration counter in port entry (US$25.00)
