BUSINESS VISA

Information:

  1. This visa is issued to the applicants who are going to Indonesia for a business visit, such as:
  1. not engaged as an employee:
  • to discuss matters in the framework of trade transaction;
  • to make on the spot observations and to discuss trade commodities for the import-export business.
  • to discuss with Indonesian enterprises/companies matters related to capital or commodity production by overseas enterprises/companies;
  • to investigate possibilities for merchandising in the framework of capital investment with prospective partners in Indonesia;
  • to join an international show/exhibition;
  • to give a lecture or join a non-commercial seminar/conference in social, cultural or governmental fields, with the permission of a related agency/institution/department;
  • to join a meeting held by the head office or a representative in Indonesia;
  • to make a journalistic visit, with the permission of a related agency/institution/department;
  • to give consultation, guidance, information or training in applying and innovating technology in order to increase the quality or the design of products, as well as to further marketing efforts abroad.
  1. for temporary employment:
  • to inspect company branches in Indonesia;
  • to conduct emergency/urgent work;
  • to conduct after-sales services;
  • to install or repair equipment;
  • to give a speech at a seminar;
  • to do non-permanent construction work;
  • to hold a show/exhibition;
  • to hold professional sport activities;
  • to do medical activities;
  • to do work aboard a ship/floating installation operating in Indonesian waters, territorial seas, a continental shelf installation, or an Indonesian exclusive economic zone;
  • to perform tests on of work instruments/equipment for prospective foreign employees.

  1. It entitles for single journey within the maximum stay indicated in a visa and extendable whilst in Indonesia (obtained in the Immigration Authorities).

  2. The journey to Indonesia must be executed within 90 (ninety) days after the date of issue.

  3. For some nationalities, the issuance of this visa may be subject for the approval from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, in which the sponsor in Indonesia is the one applying for such approval. Thus, the purchase of ticket is not required.

Required documents should be submitted to the Embassy, as follows:

(For Filipino citizens)

  1. Two pieces of completely filled out visa application form for visit;

  2. Two pieces recent, colored photograph with size of 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches, taken not more than six months, to be attached on the space provided for;

  3. Original and photocopy of the round-trip/ through/ onward ticket of airline/ boat;

  4. Valid, perfectly conditioned passport at least 6 (six) months valid upon arrival in Indonesia;

  5. A formal letter of guarantee from the sponsor in Indonesia, indicating as follows: (should be addressed to the Consular Affairs Section of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila)

    1. Purpose of visit;
    2. Name and complete detail of applicant;
    3. Length of stay in Indonesia;
    4. Place and address of applicant to stay in Indonesia (with the telephone number, if any);
    5. Date, time, and airline/ ship number of arrival in Indonesia;
    6. Date, time, and airline/ ship number of departure in Indonesia;
    7. Country to be visited after Indonesia;
    8. Complete name, address and tel/fax numbers of the sponsor in Indonesia.

  6. If the sponsor is an individual, he/ she must support with the Embassy with the following additions:

    1. Photocopy of Indonesian passport (main details only) or national ID (KTP)
    2. If the sponsor is not an Indonesian, he/ she must submit photocopy of passport (main details only) and Limited/ Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAS/ KITAP).
    3. Evidence of sufficient funds or a third party letter guaranteeing to support the applicant financially during his/ her stay, together with documentary evidence of ability to do so.

  7. An applicant’s or applicant company’s formal letter of request for a visa, indicating as follows: (should be addressed to the Consular Affairs Section of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila)

    1. Purpose of visit;
    2. Name and complete detail of applicant;
    3. Length of stay in Indonesia;
    4. Place(s) to stay in Indonesia;
    5. Date, time, and airline/ ship number of arrival in Indonesia;
    6. Date, time, and airline/ ship number of departure in Indonesia;
    7. Country to be visited after Indonesia;
    8. Complete name, address and tel/fax numbers of the sponsor in Indonesia.

  8. If so required, the approval copy from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, stating the specific purpose, the name of sponsor, and period of the stay in Indonesia.

 

For other nationalities who are permanent resident of the Philippines, the additional requirements should be submitted together with the above ones:

9 Photocopy of Philippine Immigration documents, they are:

  1. Alien Card of Registration;
  2. Immigration Card of Registration;
  3. Re-entry permit;
  4. Valid Philippine Visa.

For the business visa for pre-employment (type: B-457), the issuance of such visa is subject for the approval from the Indonesian Immigration Authority in Jakarta, in which the sponsor in Indonesia is the one applying for such approval.
