I am not a permanent resident of the Philippines,
can I still apply for Indonesian visa?
Answer
: Yes, you can. However you should have the approval
notice from the Indonesian Immigration Authority when
you are about to submit for visa application.
2.
How do I avail the approval from the Indonesian Immigration
Authority then?
Answer
: Your sponsor in Indonesia will be the one who request
such approval from the Immigration Authority.
3.
How soon is the processing for visa if I already have
the approval from the Indonesian Immigration Authority?
Answer
: We will process your visa application for 3 (three)
working days, unless otherwise stipulated.
4.
If I have the approval from the Indonesian Immigration
Authority, how sure will the Embassy grant the visa?
Answer
: Having the approval from the Indonesian Immigration
Authority is not a guarantee that the Embassy will
automatically grant the visa. The Embassy will still
need to process for visa to be granted.
5.
I wish to travel to Indonesia for a few days only
but my passport will expire less than 6 (six) months
upon arrival in Indonesia, can I still be able to
enter to Indonesia?
Answer
: No, you cannot. The Indonesian regulation states
that the passport must have at least 6 (six) months
validity upon arrival in Indonesia.

Do I have to provide the original ticket when I apply
for visa?
Answer
: When it is so required, you have to provide the
original ticket upon submission together with other
supporting documents for processing visa application.
7.
Are the visa application forms free-of-charge?
Answer
: Yes, they are. You may also download the appropriate
visa application form according to your visit to Indonesia.
8.
I miss to submit one of the supporting documents for
visa application, can I submit it through facsimile
to the Embassy or upon the release of a visa?
Answer
: No, you cannot. You must submit all documents completely
at the visa counter.
9.
I already have a visa to Indonesia, is it a guarantee
that I will enter into Indonesia?
Answer
: No, it is not. The Indonesian Immigration Authority
at the port of entry reserves the right to refuse
entry into Indonesia even though a visa is granted
by the Embassy.
10.
I wish to travel to Indonesia using visa-free short
visit facility, must I have at least US $ 1,000.00
as a proof for financial capabilities in Indonesia?
Answer
: Yes, you must. The Indonesian regulation states
that, upon the request from the Immigration officer,
a proof of sufficient money to cover expenses during
stay in Indonesia, at least US $ 1,000.00, either
in the form of cash, travelers cheques, or credit
card.
11.
I am using a visa-free short visit facility in Indonesia,
may I have it extended or convertible to other visa?
Answer
: No, you may not. Visa-free short visit cannot be
extended or convertible to any other kinds of visa.
12.
I am a Filipino citizen and wish to travel to Indonesia
for business purpose, can I use a visa-free short
visit facility for such purpose?
Answer
: It would be appreciated that you should inquire
from the Embassy before your travel in order to avoid
any problems and complications upon entering in Indonesia.
This will also valid for official purpose.
13.
I live outside of Manila, how can I avail myself to
apply for visa?
Answer
: You may have the representative in Manila who can
apply for visa on your behalf to the Embassy. You
just give to your representative the original, fill-out
completely application forms which can be downloaded
from this web and other supporting documents. Please
give also the letter of authorization to your representative
for claiming a visa. If you are located in Mindanao
or nearest, you contact the Indonesian Consulate General
in Davao for visa application.
14.
I will not be able to claim on due date, may I come
later than that date?
Answer
: Yes, you may. If you do not have a representative
to claim a visa on your behalf, you may claim it after
the stated due date. However, the Embassy is not responsible
for unclaimed passport after 30 (thirty) days from
due date.
15.
What is the use of the claim stub?
Answer
: It is a proof of claim of your passport submitted
to the Embassy for visa application. It contains reference
number, date filed, due date when you must claim your
passport, name of applicants with their nationalities,
number of passports and tickets, visa free and visa
officer who receives your documents. It also provides
the authority to claim for those who entrust the representative
to claim the passport. There are important notes located
at the back of claim stub that you should follow.
16.
Can I still be able to claim my passport if I lost
the claim stub?
Answer
: Basically, no passport will be released without
the claim stub to be presented. But you are still
able to claim your passport providing us with the
letter of request for passport claim and reason/s
why the claim stub is lost. Personal appearance of
the applicant is required by showing his/her identification
card, no representative to be allowed to claim in
this case.
17.
I am a Filipino citizen and wife of a shipping crew
who is transiting in Indonesia now. I want to join
with my husband. Do I need for a visa?
Answer
: If you are going to visit your husband in Indonesia
without having any intentions to join with him in
the vessel exiting from Indonesia, then you may use
the visa-free short visit facility which you must
have a return airline/ boat ticket out of Indonesia.
Otherwise, you would be treated as a joining crewwhere
you must obtain a visa before entering Indonesiahowever,
among the requirements to obtain transit visa, the
Seamans Book and photocopy of POEA and OEC contracts
are exempted.
